About Us

We enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do.

Our Reach

Every year, First Tee – Greater New Orleans introduces thousands of kids to golf and the life skills that come with it.

Through our After-School Classes, Weekend Programs, and Summer Camps, we currently serve more than 1,500 youth and teens across 16 active program locations throughout the Greater New Orleans area.

Our impact extends beyond the course:

    • Nearly 60 local elementary schools enrolled in our First Tee School Program

    • 55.6% of our participants come from underserved communities

    • 37% of our participants are female

    • Teen retention is 58.3%, with 45% annual retention overall

    • Our program diversity has increased by 14.1% from 2024-2025

We partner with local youth development organizations to bring First Tee programs directly into the community, including NORD, Excite All-Stars, Elevate New Orleans, Southern University New Orleans – Healthy Minds & Bodies, Son of a Saint, and Calvary Baptist School, allowing us to deliver programming where kids already live and learn throughout Greater New Orleans.

We currently serve families throughout Orleans, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. Tammany, St. John the Baptist, Tangipahoa, Lafourche, and St. Bernard parishes.
